Build a community based on mutual respect with leadership committed to engaging with all owners in the community; allowing all owners to enjoy our "piece of paradise" at Norris Lake!

Welcome to the Lone Mountain Shores Owners website. We are a group of owners from all over the United States who own homes and/or property in the Lone Mountain Shores (LMS) subdivision located on Norris Lake in New Tazewell, TN. While Lone Mountain Shores has about 650 lots, there are only approximately 160 homes built so most owners are landowners. In fact, over 75% of LMS owners live outside the state of Tennessee. We wanted to share with others our experiences while living in Lone Mountain Shores, the joy of lake living, as well as tell you a little bit about the wonderful state of Tennessee.  

Norris Lake was created by the Norris Dam in 1936. The lake has about 800 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 210 feet, and includes parts of five counties. Norris is popular for the wide variety of activities which include fishing, boating, kayaking, as well as other enjoyable water activities. In addition, there are over 21 marinas on the lake that provide a variety of services including restaurants and boat rentals. The closest to Lone Mountain Shores are Lone Mountain Marina and Campground and Norris Landing Marina. Both of these have restaurants that showcase live music during the summer season (May – September).

The state of Tennessee is known for the Great Smoky Mountains, its music, and whiskey.  Lone Mountain Shores is within a two-hour drive of The Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
